Have paid up to 100 dollars at other shops that look nice but they leave a lot to be desired. Only 45 dollars for smog check only on 2004 pickup truck. Excellent value. I don't know what that 1 star review is calling this older gentleman a tweaker just because he has a slight accent but he has never been anything more then polite each time I've been there. And your car passed. ONE STAR FAIL! If there were more then 5 stars I would give them. read less

But the technician at Horizon was... read moreI went there today thinking I was going to another smog place that I had a coupon for, but the other place turned out to be kitty-corner and across the street from Horizon Smog. But the technician at Horizon was nice and polite (he even pointed out where the other place was so I could go there if I wanted) and he said they had the same special running on-line so I decided to stay and have it done there. (I later checked on-line and they did have the same special running so I bookmarked it for next time.) He took care of it in about 15 minutes (for $29.75 plus the $8.25 smog certificate) while I read my book in the lobby. And yes, the shop is a bit shabby as some other reviewers pointed out, but I don't expect to be WOW'ed by the way a smog-only station looks. I figure as long as they give me a break on price and my Ford Escape passes and there's a clean/tidy place to sit down and read my book, I'm one happy camper. read less

The dude that did my test was funny we talked a by about cars and then he was off to the garage through the bay doors to due my smog..Lucky for me there was only one car there prior to me being there..I waited 30 or 40 mins..seemed fairly quick and everything passed..If you need to get your smog at a fair price and don't have to worry about a shady mechanic doing your smog..Check this place out.. read less
